I admit I'm a sucker for getting holiday cards in the mail. I love it. Regardless of what the holiday is. And I have an ongoing gag with my family of who can send the ugliest Christmas card. If you have never seen a floral mumu-clad Mary on a donkey beaten with an ugly stick going through a hot pink and hot green forest with rainbow glitter on the trees representing snow, you haven't lived. Goodwill and rummage sales are fantastic places to score on the ugly cards.

I love greeting cards.
I like getting them, and I like finding the perfect card for other people. :o)
However, I do not get excited about generic cards, and I do not send cards out to everyone, I just buy them for family members.
Having an ugliest Christmas card competition is not something I ever thought about, but it sounds like fun.
I love getting holiday cards IF they also contain some other news or photos. I am a total sucker for annual newsletters, even though I have never sent one. If it's just a plain card with a signature, then I toss them pretty quickly. I do keep beautiful cards, even if they only have a signature.
Over the years, I quit sending holiday cards to my peers except for one friend but all my elderly relatives can count on getting a card, a few personal words, and photos of my family.
getting cards in the post is great! The fact that someone is thinking of u enough to send a card at christmas etc makes the holiday that little bit more special. I send out heaps every year but I am a christmas nut and get right into the spirit of things.
I love holiday cards. They get Incorporated into my holiday decorating. I have some twine strung up over my fireplace with wooden clothespins. Similar concept to this: http://sweetpapertreats.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/c...
It makes for cheap holiday decorations and the cards are always a nice surprise to get in the mail. I like sending out holiday cards. I go for pretty as opposed to ugly however lol. I like the idea of sending out the ugliest card. My family might actually have fun with that. Personally, I prefer the pretty cards. I like using them for decorations.
I'm weird about cards. I make all my own because anything else seems contrived. I'm not interested in what some failure at Hallmark thinks. I want to hear what my friends and family have on their minds.
Anyway, I like sending cards because I get to write to my friends and let them know what's been going on lately. I dislike receiving them if there's just a signature inside.
i do no longer shield them. i could quite the guy see something that reminds them of me and choose me to have it. between the sweetest presents i've got ever won replaced into from my BFFs sister. i replaced into dealing with a heartbreak and out of nowhere won a fine looking piece of jewellery with the words "it incredibly is by no skill Too previous due To stay fortunately Ever After" engraved on it. I cried for an hour at her thoughtfulness.
Absolutely love! I can't wait for the holiday season!
yes i love receiving and sending the old fashion way but it seens society has lost mannors no one returns a card...
Yes I love receiving and sending holiday cards. Because I love to see how happy they are when they get them.
No they are stupid and a waste of time. If I get them I trash them without opening them, otherwise the wife will stick it on the fridge then I got to look at it for a whole month.
