If anybody actually doesn't know what that is, it's an option to hear the actors or directors of the film talk about it the entire time the movie is playing.
I've listened to the commentary after I already watch the movie if I want to know more or understand more about a movie. So I don't listen to the commentary for most movies, only for the really good ones or ones that require more understanding or that I want to know more about how they put together a scene.
If I liked the movie, I do, and if there isn't a commentary track, I'm disappointed. And sometimes, if I'm bored, I'll watch the commentary on the ones I don't like.

Yeah, thats what directors commentary is, they basically talk about the production of the film, the sets, of stories, how they got the idea, etc.
I always listen to directors commentary, because it says more about the film
