They're good for when you're just beginning your language learning journey, but you should really try to move on to authentic listening (songs, radio shows, news podcasts, etc) as soon as you can.
ESL is language rehashed for students and it teaches you 'student language'. If you want to learn the language as it is really spoken, move on to materials made for people who speak the language every day.
