What is a pure Conservative? The point is I know many Republicans and many Democrats none of them believe entirely along the so called party lines. The thing is I do think the Republican Party needs to get back to its roots. What I mean is it's past standing points. Right now one part seems to be less taxes, The other some taxes and the last part well if they are needed. None of them seem to be for living within the money coming in and limiting government expenditurers. Heck look at the news today and they are talking about climate studies. Why should tax dollars be spent on this when there are agencies and colleges already doing studies on it? Just spend spend spend, both parties.
No. A political party cannot survive and win majority control of Congress if it is made up of no moderates. People who use the word "RINO" and support challengers to Republicans like Lindsey Graham, Pat Roberts, and Thad Cochran, to name a few, are actually ruining the party, not improving it. And Ronald Reagan never said anything against any Republicans who weren't as conservative as himself.
The object of the republican form of government and of the principles that are essential to that form, is to enable a people to govern themselves to the most practicable extent possible.
"General Washington has often declared to me that he considered our new Constitution as an experiment on the practicability of republican government, and with what dose of liberty man could be trusted for his own good; that he was determined the experiment should have a fair trial, and would lose the last drop of his blood in support of it."
There are no more Republicans. Conservative Republicans are evangelistic Christians. The Tea Party are right wingnuts. Libertarians are just Republicans who are too ashamed to admit it and, moderate Republicans are Democrats.
The only way that the GOP can survive is to clarify their message. Right now their message is being muddled by at least two different voices, one conservative and one not-so-conservative. They need to decide which side of the fence they are on and stick to it, even if that means that in the short term the party will be split. Keep in mind that by 2024 Cruz's plan is to start his own party of disaffected conservatives.

It's a matter of integrity. You do not compromise your principles. You stick to what you believe. And do not deviate from that.
Barry Goldwater's "The Conscience of a Conservative" should be required reading in schools, in the media, in both political parties, everywhere.
Last two presidential elections the GOP lost with moderates. Lets run a real conservative for a change. He or she cannot do any worse than losing.
No... The pure conservatives should leave the Republican Party and form their own party..

There are few "pure" conservative people (citizens or politicians). The same thing with Democrats.
People vote for those that most closely mirror their own political beliefs.
BTW
Nice attempt at trolling though...DEMOCRAT!!!
I care far less about social issues like homos and fetus killing than I do Liberalism and Progressivism bankrupting the nation .
If RINOs were strictly about social issues I could live with that .
