I know Pacino and De Niro are Legends but most of the times they play themselves in every movies, Sure De Niro is Versatile and can do Comedy as well apart from usual Gangster, but i think there are few actors who are greater in terms of performances they give according to the script neverthless how mediocre the script and movie

you judge great acting in how they can do the classics ala shakespeare.... deniro played with jeremey irons in a film which required "classical speech" & actions he was god awful compared to irons... can johnny depp do hamlet??? maybe so, but the fact is olivier, orson welles , could act circles around all of them.... the classically trained actor is far better........
