I'm looking to buy a 2006+ Honda Civic for my next car and wanted to know how long they usually last. Also, if you have one of these model years, what are the pros and cons?
Honda's are known to be a very reliable & dependable, and also known if you change oil every reccomended 3,000 miles thety can typically last 220,000 miles or more, Honda engine have lasted 300,000 miles before and averaging that up if you drive less then 10k miles per year. You to can have a car that will last 20+ years.
You would make a GOOD investment. Hondas are the most reliable cars next to Toyotas. Hondas can last 15+ and they run forever. My cousin has one and she has not had one problem yet and it is a 2006. I would go for it.
The older ones were very good, but the new ones have problems. My neighbor bought 5 in the last 5 years and they have the tow truck driver on speed dial. Not sure if it's the workers or engineering issue.
