I just purchased a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV (I prefer Plasmas over LCD's for the refresh rate and color) Anyway, I heard that some Plasma TV's may contain Lead or Mercury, though most of todays Plasma TV's no longer use those chemicals.
Is there any way of knowing if my 42 Inch Panasonic Plasma contains lead and/or mercury?
And even if it did, how could it be harmful to me? Is it even harmful to me?

It contains plasma, plasma is not dangerous to you when its hidden behind glass. Plasma tvs do apparently give out radiation, I own one and I have no clue what people are on about. Lead is in some pencils, grow up... Its not harmful as the waves of whatever it gives out can only travel a few mm through the glass and have no effect on you.
Some solders are lead free. Not all.
No. Even the solder is lead free.
