Don't get me wrong, I love the store and its the only place to find pretty much any game you want but, wow the customer service there is either really bad or overly annoying! Seriously, the guys at the GS I went to today not only tried oh 100x to get me to buy a Zelda game, which I told them I haven't played since N64 and didn't really want to buy the game right now, but they wouldn't give in. I myself work in retail and I know customer service and when its too much ive been in the business for 5 years. And there is a fine line between helping and just being too pushy!
As if forcing Zelda on me wasn't enough, they then tried to get me to buy a used system. I told them that I wanted a new one (I had a bad experience with their "Refurbished" systems before) but they would not let it go, I had to literally tell the guy NO, I want a new system thanks! I am not a rude person but I had to be with these guys. Then they tried to get me to renew my membership, which I said not now I didn't have the extra $15 right then, but again, no was NOT an answer I actually told him no 4x and he wouldn't continue my transaction without mentioning NEEDED it. Annoyed angry and over my experience I told him to just do it! I thought once I paid I was done...nope.
As I am trying to leave I get bombarded with "reserve Zelda" there is a new one coming soon, and I am just like OMG I never told you I wanted a Zelda game. And I just kept walking saying thanks and have a good day they literally followed me to the door and told me about the game I had bought and what I could do in it! It was the most overwhelming customer service I have ever had. It was too much, I will never go back there again! Also, I kind of want to call the company and complain. Even my friend who had to suffer through this with me was like that was OUTRAGEOUS!
HAve you guys had this happen to you there, or anywhere I am so annoyed?

I've never had that happened to me at a GameStop, and they've never pushed anything on me unless I asked specifically for something. However, I do recommend you do report it.
What I think is happening and some GameStops are known to do this, is they're trying to push the bottom line, some managers really do push for their retail people to sell reserve copies. I'm not completely sure why a certain number of reserve copies are important, but it might have to do with the increase ability to download the game instead of buying a hardcopy.
Contact the company rather than the manager, because often it's the manager that's the problem.
Usually I walk up to the counter and they mention a couple newer games I could pre order like gta 5 or Call of Duty ghosts and that's it. It's just cut and dry for me. Walk in, get a game, walk out. Only with that pre-order business in it. Not as bad as you though. Maybe they were bored and were playing some sort of game. It's usually not too busy unless it's a release of a game or something.
ehhhhh it can be a little annoying but i never have the experience you have.
For me its always just flat out hey id like to pre order this or that or buy this or that. They then ask if theres anything else you want to pre order and thats it. Pay for your stuff and go, unless you got further questions.
thats the only thing i find a little annoying when they keep asking you -.-
then again its their job.
i like most of them but there is always that one that one ticks you off
