At 36 weeks your baby is still growing and developing, in fact this is the stage where they put on the most fat if you will.
By taking castor oil, it can put you and your baby in danger. We all know that it causes Diarreah, which can cause you and the baby to become severely dehydrated.
Let labour come naturally. Enjoy being pregnant because I promise that you will miss it! I know I do! Enjoy your "me" time because once that baby comes, you wont get a lot of "me" time anymore! Not to mention that the stomach pains will not induce labour if your body and baby aren't ready for it!
I have no idea at the weight query, seeing that you might have had a c-segment. You will have to ask your general practitioner, on that one. Castor oil simply made me vomit. That was once first-rate a laugh, I can guarantee you. Castor oil offers a few ladies diarrhea, the complete premise at the back of why it really works is that's factors extra exercise within the intestines, which is meant to get your contractions going. You do not relatively desire to have diarrhea at the same time you are giving delivery. I would not trouble with that. There are herbs you'll be able to begin taking, seek advice with a expert herbalist for suggestions as to what's riskless, and speak approximately it together with your general practitioner, too. Where you might have had a c-segment beforehand, you will have to be very cautious. Good success!
I wouldnt try it, and unless your ready to go into labor all thats going to happen is your going to be pooping alot and have HORRIBLE pains for a few hours. Not worth it. Your baby is still to early to be born...the lungs may not be fully developted etc. There is a reason why your pregnant for 40wks....hang in there and your baby will be here shortly.
All castro oil will do is aggravate your bowels (which is supposed to bring on contractions) and cause you to spend all day on the toilet. It will not work unless your baby is ready to come anyway. It can also cause the baby to have a bowel movement in utero which is toxic to the baby.
It did not worked for me. My daughter ended up pooping in the womb because of this. I was not able to see her for about 30 minutes because they had to take extra precaution because there was so much of it. If swallowed they could die. The doctor said it was due to the Castor Oil.
If your trying to induce labor ask a doctor. They also say nipple stimilation and fenugreek can help with producing contractions.
My Dr. said that sex induces labor. I was definitely not in the mood when I was full term and he wouldn't do it so I gave birth 6 days after my due date.
it never worked for me at all. it just made me not be able to leave the bath room all day. i still ended up going over due. and my baby had muconium in her water.

I hear it is bogus, never tried it. But I just walked a lot. Go for long walks. Baby will come when time is right.

I wouldn't recommend doing it
sex works to induce labour, worked for me, gave birth 12 hours later.
Well, I hope no one can help you, since I would surely hope no one even dared try it at 36 weeks!
