Obama is a Christian whose religious views have evolved in his adult life. In The Audacity of Hope, Obama writes that he "was not raised in a religious household". He describes his mother, raised by non-religious parents (whom Obama has specified elsewhere as "non-practicing Methodists and Baptists") to be detached from religion, yet "in many ways the most spiritually awakened person that I have ever known". He describes his father as "raised a Muslim", but a "confirmed atheist" by the time his parents met, and his stepfather as "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful". Obama explained how, through working with black churches as a community organizer while in his twenties, he came to understand "the power of the African-American religious tradition to spur social change". He was baptized at the Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988 and was an active member there for two decades. Obama resigned from Trinity during the Presidential campaign after controversial statements made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright became public
are two totally different perspectives, attitudes, actions.
I put no credence in what he has said since day one, since his talent lies in more of being an excellent orator, and not a person of character. All you have to do is make note of the persons who buddy around with him. You are judged by the company you keep, ya know???
He claims many things, but he is a narcissistic, pathological liar ! Who keeps having flash backs of his Muslim up bringing ! No, I don't think he is a Christian just a white hater and a muslim looking to take over the world in the name of Allah !
President Obama has claimed virtually everything you might think of.
According to his AUTObiography, he embraces "Black Liberation Theology." Take Black Supremacy and Marxism and wrap it in a thin veil of religious language. If you use Muslim language you get "Nation of Islam." If you use Christian language you get its ideological twin, "Black Liberation Theology."
So in all honesty, according to Obama himself his "religion" is racist communism.

Why does it matter? It's not a requirement for the President to adhere to any religion, much less Christianity. Essentially, it's nobody's business.
You wonder what matters to people? Here's what matters to me. The Constitution. What matters to you?

Irrelevant
Yes, he claims that and all evidence points to that. He's been a practicing, church attending Christian for over 20 years.
I believe he does, however I personally do not see it's importance.
Yes. Personally, I'm hoping he doesn't really mean it.
Doesn't matter to me. I'm worried about him claiming not to be a fascist.
