the simple answer is that coolant is coolant, as long as you are using the right type...ethylene or propylene... depends on the color basically. I use advanced auto coolant in all my class 8 trucks and it works fine. anyone tells you anything else ( diesels run hotter, blah blah blah, they are wrong)
prestone has a heavy-duty formula specific for diesel engines but it would be best if you went with oem specifications in your owner manual under engine maintenance
