No, but it does take about 2 weeks to do background checks now.
Phone interview? that's different... but a lot of questions are mostly about past experience, how to handle certain situations.. especially customer service related, experience working in groups, experience taking leadership roles, and some may ask about your experience multi-tasking & working under pressure. The holidays are coming up and that's the busiest time for Starbucks.. so they want people who can learn fast, be quick on their toes, and be able to handle the pressure.... customers tend to be the rudest during the holidays, even though it's suppose to be the most jolly time of the year...
What you wanna do is fill out an utility and submit it. Then if no one has known as you in a pair days, call back and ask if they have obtained the application and if they've reviewed it. In the event that they name you, simply hooked up an appointment time, costume good, and kill (the good way) the interview. I dont be aware of in the event that they drug test, but i would ask someone who works there, in the event that they do you need about 30 days of sobriety. To any extent further questions believe free to electronic mail me.
In my local one it would seem so. If you have no trace of any drugs then it would appear that some sort of initiation ceremony is performed on you so you become so wasted that even a black cup of coffee is a monumental task that can take 11.5 minutes.
Assuming that you are capable of holding a phone and talking at the same time then they do a series of psychometric evaluation tests on you. Don't try and be clever or think to hard on the test as many differently worded questions have the same answers with regards to your personality, work ethic, management material, etc..
