im 15 wana be an actor when im older so i go to 2 drama schools, on is after school and is a normal dramma school, playing games, doing scenes and end of year shows and the other i go to on saturdays which is a high class expensive drama school (Sylvia Young) which famous people went to and can get me auditions for Tv if i apply n stuff (but i havent yet). Now my mum said i can only go to on next year but the problem is all my good friends go to the 1st drama school and i enjoy it soo much and dont want to leave and the second one kills my social life, but im serious about becoming an actor and the 2nd drama school can help me sooo much more with an acting career. WHAT ONE SHALL I CHOOSE!?!
Update:I do have a passion for acting and i really do enjoy my saturdays classes because my teacher is soo funny and tells us of his experiences and tips for our future and i love it but its only that i havent been there as long as the 1st choice thats why i dont have as many friends

Choose the drama school that you enjoy. Not all teachers are meant for all students, and it's obvious that you and the more professional school are not clicking. My son attends a very serious drama school and he loves it. It's the right fit for him. (He hopefully will not become an actor, it's a tough life, even if one is very connected. He is always being scouted but I won't let him act until next summer when he is 16 and only in one of our friend's or relative's films.)
If you're not having a good time, you're likely not learning. You will likely lose your passion for acting if you stay in the second school where you feel stressed and unhappy. If you lose your passion, you won't be an actor, or you'll hate it. You must have passion for acting! In the US, 2/3 of SAG (the union they must join) make less than $1000 a year from acting, and only 5% make more than $75,000 a year (which is too low an income to afford to buy a condo in LA). So basically 95% of all US SAG actors don't make enough to live an OK life from acting! I would imagine things aren't much better in the UK. If you don't have passion for acting, you can't keep doing it, because chances are it's not even paying your bills, so you can't say At least it feeds and houses me. I know amazing actors who end up teaching acting while waiting for their big break, they just have to act, it's part of them.
I know lots of young actors, and they have attended all types of drama schools. Kids who attend a drama school more like the one you like, where my son used to attend, are able to book jobs. It's far less serious and prestigious than the school my son currently attends, but there isn't just one way to learn your skill! My son really enjoyed the other school, but he wanted something more serious. (A friend of mine is a showrunner for Disney and I know a lot of casting personnel and the actors they book attend all kinds of drama classes.)
And some of the so called prestigious schools aren't all that good, they may have a good past, but their current teachers could be not so good (we went through that too), or the teachers are not happy and it comes through, or problems in the organization. So don't go by reputation alone, go by where you feel you are learning. You need a safe place (meaning you feel at ease, happy) to be able to grow as an actor, and it sounds like that is a problem at the more professional school.
You're very young, and you can always go and take classes at Sylvia Young later on. Just don't burn bridges if you leave, and it won't be a problem.
Good luck with your decision!
hi, i personally think both schools seems well.
sorry let me summarize, the first one is fun, games, and more social with your friends
whereas the second one is famous, expensive, and give you more opportunities right?
i personally think if you are really serious about going to one of these, you should pick the second one. you would always be able to make more friends and you would have better chances. the second one seems like a more serious class, for people who are really intending to become actors. but remember! the prices are pretty high...if your family cant afford to pay up the prices, then i recommend the first one.
I'm sure you mentioned to your mom to do both the two classes right? It would be a perfect plan if you can attend both!
If you really like your friends, than i wouldn't want you to kill your social life! But how so? you can still meet up with these friends whenever you can and for funs, you can produce your own script and act out over the weekends when you and your friends will have fun! if you all go to the same school, (like normal day school), then in drama, you can all work together,
Many people have to make choices in life and this one seems like one of those big choices. Pick Wisely! and i know this sounds cheesy, but honestly, sit down and think which seems more important to you? Friends or Future. I personally care more about my future, but I'm not sure about you. I think that's the question that's bothering you the most. so maybe you should talk to your friends about it? Tell them this decision thing is bothering you and ask them which one they'd take if they could. They'll probably all understand if you end up picking the second school. If you pick the first, then congrats! You value the friendship between you and your friends!
~Good Luck, choose wisely!
I, too, vote for college now. an entire scholarship is to not be neglected. you're very "fortunate." Many artists (painters, writers, dancers, actors) have a splash bit early fulfillment and are tempted to plunge in, choose for the gold now! Many or maximum of people who've jumped in looking forward to prompt and sustained fulfillment have had to bypass by using years of disenchanted conflict (disenchanted by using fact the fulfillment did not come as on the instant as predicted). pay attention, l. a., long island and Hollywood are exciting; they're additionally jungles--pay attention. suitable to advance a splash older first, rather. yet appearing is a craft. you want a sturdy beginning place, which includes experience. merely considering the fact which you're at school, would not propose you will omit out. skills scouts are everywhere. in case you're stable, they're going to discover you. And in case you at the instant are not in basic terms stable, and gifted, yet additionally understand your craft, your fulfillment won't "run out of petrol"!
