Im having some electrical problems...I'm not getting any power to part of the engine harness n when I turn the key my windshield wipers turn on n I can't turn them off ...does anyone know what's wrong?
If you can tell us the make model and year of your car and the engine you have we can do allot more to help you. It could be a bad ground some cars have main fuses or fusible links that could be burnt out. A fusible link is a section of wire that is smaller then the main wire and it is covered in a special insulation so if you have a major electrical problem that piece of wire will burn out. It is usually close to the battery or a junction box under the hood. If you have main fuses they are usually in a box under the hood and they are much larger than the normal fuses. Most cars have only a few main fuses like 3 or 4. If you burn out one of these fuses or a fusible link you will lose a large part of your electrical system. Also a ground will act allot the same way. If you loose the ground to a section like the engine or dash you could get the wipers sticking on and the engine not starting.
Ofelia, Nice name, Ok so the issue is likely in the electrical inside the steering wheel area. I have seen this with the ignition switch itself. it sounds like a wire may be loose inside and power is passing the ground to the ground of the wipers.

damage to harness? electrical short? possible part disconnection of major cable connector block?
corrosion in connector joint?
the two are probably related to locating one issue root cause will very likely fix the other.
sounds like an amateur re-wired the radio and cut or spliced the wrong cable
It's grounded somewhere. Have it fix by your mechanic.
