I went to school for electronic engineering got a masters in telecommunications in a top school is Europe and came to the States to work Environmental control and took more school in Environmental control also in a top American school, several years in college and corporate world and I got tired!!!
I am working on my MBA right now on-line and have my own business.
Sometimes I regret all the time I waisted in school, the easy way to do it wast and get the best out of it is to go to college 4 years to get any degree, bachelor, in science, art, business, whatever and after that get an MBA.....Business is where the money is! if you like electrical things, you can be great managing electrical equipment , sales and representations, who knows!! the alternatives are endless!!
There is a lot of competition in electrical and electronic from India and cheap labor, those guys work for nothing!!
It's a trade that 'they' can't outsource. Of course you'll have to do an apprenticeship, beings you'll hopefully be a union electrician. But it's a good job once you're a journeyman , the pay is good. You'll get dirty from time to time, but it's a skill that will always be needed.
