For every 2 plants Trish bought, Sarah bought 5 so basically for every plant Trish bought Sarah bought 2.5 (I know it is mad buying 2.5 plants lol).Anyway if Trish bought 16 then Sarah bought 16*2.5 which is 40 plants.
Total cost is just the amount Trish payed plus the amount Sarah payed.
Trish payed 16*$17 which is £272
Sarah payed 40*$17 which is $680
Total cost = $272+$680 = $952
2:5 :: 16:: x 2x=80 x=40 $ 680
Total is $952.
2x/7 = 16
x = 56
17 * 56 = $952
trish: $272
Sarah:$680
Total:$952
This is elementary math??
look it up on google
