I am sure you are fine. Are you bleeding? any gush of fluids? If yes to either of these questions call the doc ASAP. If you are just really worried and feel you need to be checked out then call, better safe then sorry.
Best bet lay down drink some water and try doing a fetal kick count. I am sure you are fine though. I feel down stairs and I was fine they are pretty protected in there =)
A jolt can cause for some concern, and I would call your OB/GYN and talk to them. Or, your insurance may have a nurse hotline that you can all and get some medical advice. Are you feeling any pain or discomfort in any way? Is your stomach feeling strained at all? The baby's head is usually positioned down towards your bottom, so if I were you, even if I didn't feel any pain, I would at least ask my doc if there is any concern for an examination/ultrasound to see if the baby is ok.
Hope everything is ok. Go have yourself checked for your peace of mind anyway. OK?
I would call your doctor. I am a PE teacher and fell at work and landed on my knees when I was about 27 weeks. My doc wanted me to go in to get checked out. I would call the doc and head to the hospital. You are most likely fine but sometimes falls can trigger early labor or cause a placental abruption. However, again, you are most likely fine but your doc is probably going to want to have you come in.
Same thing happened to me when I was pregnant-TWICE! I called my doctor and she said that as long as I'm not bleeding or contracting that everything should be fine. The uterus is a strong muscle that protects that baby well from most accidents.
Call your doctor just in case. Lay down, drink a glass of juice to stimulate your baby to move... that will reassure you that baby is ok.
Well, you didn't fall on your belly so you're probably fine. Your baby is very well protected in there so you'd have to take a HARD fall to cause any damaging.
I have to wonder, though, if this were a "EMERGENCY" why wouldn't you be phoning your doctor instead of asking this on Y!A?
how hard did you fall? Are you bleeding, or spotting? any contractions? If you feel like somethings wrong or you want to go for peace of mind go, it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Just take it easy until you're rear end doesn't hurt, it's not an emergency at all unless you have issues that your doctor told you to watch for - like blood, contractions, leaking amniotic fluid.
just to be safe go to the doctors, you can never be to safe call your Doctor and say hey i just fell down i want u to give me an ultrasound and make sure the baby is ok
