Lately I've noticed the trend of the Emo/Scene Style is dying. People say Hot Topic is changing and trying to be more "current". Obviously the bands that led last decades trends are faded or fading away. Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Hawthorne Heights, ect. Of course some of these bands are still around, but out of the mainstream and not as succesful.
What do you think?

It's definitely not dead. The people who are scene or emo though aren't as, let's say, 'high quality' as their predecessors. The new generation of scene kidz is just terrible, with few exceptions. Scene queens and alternative beauties are in short stock and are growing up, becoming hipsters, etc. The reason Hot Topic is changing is because of the hipster trend, which makes nerds cool (unless you're an actual legitimate nerd like me), brings letter jackets back, and also other stuff. The legit scene and emo people are pissed off about it, and are forced to shop elsewhere. Sorry about this little rant, but I love the scene and emo style but choose not to label myself and just play skyrim and admin Harry Potter pages. Hipsters are just annoying, so don't get me started...
Im sure the 'emo' thing has been dead for a bit, but as for the scene trend I'm sure there enough little poser girls out there to keep it alive for a year or two more. As for hot topic they are trying to forecast trends and such so they can be all hipster and say they had it before it was cool.
Its been that way for a couple of years. I haven't seen anyone dressed stereotypically emo for at least that long. Hot Topic isn't really an alternative store, considering that it's evrywhere. Just another store aimed at teens trying to be different.
Goddamn hipsters taking over

believe it or not there are tones of **** about making a come back !
its a fun style so it will not die
Yeah everyone's a 'hipster' now...
