My first job after graduating high school was at a fast food place. I was only 17 at the time so your age shouldn't be a problem. However, based on your comment your racist attitude is a problem. It shouldn't matter that the other crew members were african american.

btw...just because you saw 25-35 yr old crew members when you were there doesn't mean there isn't a crew with others closer to your age.

If you are 18, you should be old enough to work there. Another thing, you said "From the crew, it looks like most are African Americans" . Would that be a part of the problem for you to work around them? You are not racists are you? Sorry, I had to ask since you brought up race for whatever reason.
