Environmental science help?
I have to draw an organism in a: Preproductive stage, reproductive stage, and post productive stage... but everyone is drawing salmon and i don't like fish :P
What are some other animals that are obviously different in each stage (salmons go from fry, salmon, and old age)
Plus what are some examples of R-selected species and K-selected.. here are the ones i know of:
R-grass, frogs, salmon, Brazilian pepper tree.,..... what are some more.
K- Elephant, humans, and .... i can't really think of many more besides maybe cows

The one that immediately comes to mind for me is the common butterfly, though admittedly, it has four stages, not three. Egg, caterpillar, pupa, butterfly.
The American Alligator would probably be another one, though. Embryo/egg - hatchling - mature adult alligator. They're also interesting as the sex of the animal is highly influenced by the environment in which its egg has been laid.
