Which class should I take to improve my skills? Which one would be more beneficial and attractive to employers? I know that a lot of accounting jobs require excel experience but am wondering if my skills in Access would be considered a plus?

Ask yourself this...do you have any Excel skills now? could you study Excel on your own and figure stuff out on their website using their tutorials? Because they actually have extensive tutorials on their website and you are more likely to figure Excel out on your own than Access...provided you have used it before.
That being said, I have obtained jobs based solely on the fact that I knew Access, and the competition was not fierce because there were not that many people who had the same level of skills I had. This was about 8 years ago though, so I am not sure what the demand is like now...but Access is a skill that not many people have (Advanced/Expert Access is what I am referring to, not Intro Access), because it is not used as much in the workplace. Because it is not used as much, when employers come across it, they are excited.
I guess what I am trying to say is that Access classes might be more of a bang for your buck if you have used Excel before and can figure out the Excel tutorials on your own.
both would be great to know because of the economy these day most people will look for the more skilled. Yes your skill in access will do help you just remember to put that on your resume.
hope this helps alittle
I think Excel is more important. Access is nice-to-have but only used in certain circumstances in certain departments. Excel is used by tons and tons of people throughout organizations. It is quite complex to learn all that it can do (pivot tables for one!) and if you are good at it, you will have an edge. My vote is to take excel!
The kicker is going to be get admission to, as that's for enterprise, the abode and student version of workplace (be conscious, Powerpoint, Excel and OneNote) may be picked up for like $ninety 9 appropriate now, in spite of the undeniable fact that it would not have get admission to. the only thank you to get get admission to is to purchase the professional Suite and its like $4 hundred, or the stand on my own version of get admission to that's like $a hundred twenty five.
searching for a job is difficult, especially if it's years since you last did it! I was jobless during the last couple of weeks, but I discovered the site in the box below which is very helpful in so many ways. By following their techniques, in a short while I soon got myself a job.
