I recently watched a video on YouTube with William Cooper about a live captured alien nicknamed "EBE" back in the late 1940's. I understand that countless people cringe and laugh at the proposal of the existence of extraterrestrials, but it's a very high possibility that there is something other than us living in the infinite universe. Has anyone heard anything about this? Does anyone know anything about William Cooper and how much credibility he has? In Roswell, New Mexico the newspaper stated that a flying saucer had crashed into the ground, but only a few minutes later the headline was changed to it being mere space shuttle debris. A little fishy they'd change it so quickly.
P.s. I want logical and rational explanations and reasoning, please. No immature responses making funny of "little green people." Also, no "you're crazy for thinking in conspiracy theories." If you think that, explain why it's crazy and give a good reason. Thanks.
Update:Actually Spurs fan 14, there are eye witness reports, sightings and video. Yes, there are programs that can edit video, but not in the 1940. They didn't have Flash, Photoshop, iMovie... Think about that.
Update 3:Tobias, anything and everything can make a mistake. Just because they are believed to have such superior technology, doesn't mean there is no chance whatsoever they could crash into the ground. that's a weak argument. the human body is probably the most amazing specimen ever, yet there are things that JUST happened without us knowing why. for example, on the 20th day of a diet, you start to gain weight. why? we don't know. a MISTAKE the body makes. extraterrestrials are subject to mistakes, no matter their technology.

A number of people have talked about J-Rod, the EBE that was captured and kept at S4
Google it, too much to post here.
I'm 100% convinced Roswell happened as they say. It was a E.T crash. Anyone that thinks it was still a weather balloon/kite hasn't done any research or is an idiot.
Here's an interview
Major Marcell in 1984 ( First to arrive at the crash)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhxbcr2sLdI
Major Jesse Marcell was trained to recognize every type of radar reflector even the 303 used on the Mogul balloon. He described the wreckage as "something not of this Earth"
The story has been changed so many times it's stupid. In 1994 they said it was an experimental kite. The Mogul ballon was cancelled due to bad weather. It was a stormy night.
Two weather ballons had fallen on the ranchers land previous to the Roswell incident. The rancher Brazel was familiar with what they looked like.

I do not laugh and cringe at the proposal of the existence of extraterrestrials. In fact, I believe that a statistical analysis would conclude that they must exist (with 99% confidence, 19 times out of 20 and so on).
The real issue is: how far apart are civilizations from each other. It would appear that the nearest extra-terrestrial civilization could be in another galaxy. The last time I ran the Drake equation, using pessimistic coefficients, I found that the "estimated number of civilizations per galaxy, capable of communicating with each other" was 0.25 (not even one).
I do hope that I am wrong, otherwise, it is going to be a very lonely five million years before anyone answers our calls.
However, I laugh and cringe at the possibility that someone would believe Cooper. He saw conspiracies everywhere. I will go as far as saying that he was part of a conspiracy to promote conspiracy theories. But that would, in itself, be a conspiracy theory...
[discuss among yourselves...]
[thank you]
The modern take on Roswell (outside the UFO circles) is that there was a military experiment going on and that what was found was some kind of experimental tracking device, that was eventually mis-reported (after the initial UFO frenzy) as a "weather balloon".
The few people who were able to talk intelligently about what they saw were silenced (this happened very often during the cold war, not just in New Mexico). This does not mean that they were killed or threatened. It could mean that they were convinced that it was in the best interest of the country to let the peasants believe anything they want (including UFOs) rather than the truth.

Conspiracy theories are built on the principle of: You must believe this because there is no information about it. It is the exact opposite of science, where you question everything, including direct observations.
Usually, the only "proof" offered by the conspiracy theorist is just that: lack of proof.
To encourage people to behave in such a way leads to people believing in all kinds of junk (for example, the Big 2012 Hoax, the LHC black hole, the WMD, etc.). It makes people easier to manipulate and less likely to understand what really goes on.
That is why it is crazy to believe in conspiracy theories just for the sake of believing in conspiracies.
Sure, there are conspiracies. They exist. However, they must be found out the same way that we find out about everything: with knowledge.
The simple statement: "there is a conspiracy" does not make it true.
As for what US newspaper report... most of them don't really care about the truth, they only care about the impact of the front page title (will it help sell papers) and how far they can go with a story before someone sues them.
(And it is not only in the US).
Example, the recent failed missile test by Russia: the rocket started spinning as the third-stage rocket was fired up. Spinning out of control, it traced out a giant spiral in the sky, while the tracking laser appeared to be shooting out from the centre of the spiral.
This thing, when it was first reported, was a UFO, a black hole, a wormhole, the end-of-the-world, even a result of a test gone bad at the Large Hadron Collider.
Do you think European newspapers waited a day to find out what it really was? Of course not. They each made up a story in order to "out-impress" the other papers (especially in the UK).
I do not believe extra terrestials have ever visited us. The Roswell crash was most probably a secret military plane crashing, and since it was during the Cold War, it was in the interest of the US government to keep it secret. They even contributed to the conspiracy about aliens crashing in Roswell, so focus was not on secret military planes.
If this is not enough to convince you, consider this: An extra terrestial form of life has the technology to travel to earth, so this would suggest that they are capable of traveling near the speed of light. A life form which is so technologically advanced, decides to visit our solar system, but crashes into a desert? This simply seems too unlikely to me.
roswell was a crashed aircraft from Project Mogul (wikipedia it sometime).
Aliens probably exist. But the distances of the universe, and the timeframes and technologies required to get here from anywhere outside of our solar system, are just flawed.
Life formed on this planet almost as quickly as it could have, given the "right" conditions. But it still took tens of millions of years for earthlings to figure out how to launch something into orbit.
life existing on a planet around a second or first generation star, seems improbable, given the abundance of complex elements required for life.
we orbit a third or fourth generation star... one of the first ones to be "born" in our universe. it stands good reason that ET life, no matter where it started, is probably not much more advanced than us, given the age of hte universe.
if they are young, like us, it is doubtful they could have launched anything that could have gotten more than a couple light years away from their home. unless they know more about physics than us.
You're crazy for thinking this because it has no solid evidence, I could go on youtube and make a video about the alien in my backyard, that wouldn't make it true. The headline was changed because it was wrong. Also if the Universe is infinite then their will be life in it, if its finite their is still a very high chance of life (other than us) in this Universe.
I've always been very skeptical about the whole Roswell-UFO-Conspiracy thing. That being said though, I've also been intrigued by the service man who claims to have collected the "memory-metal" at the supposed crash site, then, brought it home to show his wife and son. I don't remember his name; but, to this day, the son continues to claim the objects were real. I don't know why, but that's always struck me as plausible story -- even without the evidence to support it.
Well, that's exactly how it appearenly happened, according to 5000 years ago Sumerian records;) so, I don't know how people would see him like, but I guess they'd all better start considering that as a more than plausible explaination;)
Roswell i believe was a massive cover up there were a lot of witnesses who saw things out there.
One of the drivers of the team sent to pick up the wreckage told his wife on his death bed that there were Aliens found at the crash site...
No, it is all fake, made to keep you from discovering the truth.
What they call "aliens" are evolved humans from 100 million years in Earth's future.
If the truth were know, it would change the future and we would never be able to return, as our future would no longer exist.
