Third time I posted this (1st I messed up and put Power Shok, 2nd got buried under new questions) so here we go. I use Vital Shok for hunting, but the Remingtons for other shooting (local Walmart doesn't sell Vital Shoks and nearest gun store is 35 mi away). Which will be more lethal yet cause less meat damage (looking for humane, quick kill). Rounds are .243 100 grain. Sorry to all the other answerers who answered the last two, just trying to get as many answers as I can.
Update:They are Nosler Partitions

Well, Federal's Vital Shok is on the high end of the ammunition line, and they make some great centerfire ammo. They are constantly advancing their bullet designs, which is a major plus. And on the other hand, you got the time proven, classic Rem. Core-Lokt, which has definately killed it's share of deer. If I were you, I would look for the Nosler Partition in the Vital Shok line, or just go with the Core-Lokt, depending on what you are willing to spend.
Federal Vital Shok 30-06
I really can't comment on the Vital Shok, and only on evidence from other hunters on the Remington Core Lokt (I use handloaded ammo only for hunting). But a fellow I used to work with has used nothing but Remington Core Lokt ammo (180 gr Soft-points) in his .30-'06 rifles sine the 1950. Moose is a very dedicated hunter and claims over 100 deer taken with one or the other of his '06's all using 180 gr. Core Lokt bullets.
Such confidence and such a record of success is pretty good recommendation IMO.
Doc
a few years ago i was using winchester ammo. i never got the accuracy i was looking for.i switched to federal nosier accubond ammo.it has improved my accuracy 100%.i use a browning lever action 7mag in a 140gr. ammo.i was at the end of the season and was wanting to test my accuracy in the field.i saw a squirrel eating some of the corn i had laied out.i used my yardage finder and he was 169 yards away.i shot and killed him.now that is accuracy.now if you use good ammo you are working against your self if you have a cheao scope.you have to have good glass for the consistancy.

I've used both with success. Every rifle shoots differently, though, and each rifle will shoot one particular brand and type of ammo better than others. Try both, and use whichever your rifle puts into tighter groups.
