I was accepted into a great university and I am happy about that, but now I am concerned about my financial aid. I submitted my fafsa and I have been getting aid at my community college for the last 2 years, but now I am transferring and I am a little worried that I might not get much help. My stepmom owns a rental house that has 50k in equity. My brother is in community college as well as my bio dad, who we all live together.. We are 6 in the household. I have 2 small brothers. Our income after the depreciation on the rental, gross income is at 34k. We are currently renting a house in Orange county because with the housing market going down, my stepmom had to short sell our primary residence, so we only own the rental property and I am afraid that financial aid wont help me as much because of that rental. My dad doesn't work, got laid off and is having a hard time finding work, so he went back to school to get a degree and my stepmom is the one that is working.. what do yiu think.., serious answers please.
