I've filled out my FAFSA and all way back in Feb or March.
I also filled out some papers for the university I want to attend, but it's not complete because my mom's tax info went into error so long ago and they said they would fix it within 30 days. the 30 days has passed and it's not even fixed.now they told her they will call in another 30 days about it.
Here's the thing...
I filled out scholarships for the university before the deadline and work-study and with her stuff still processing I can't get anything from the school.
I want to know if this take any longer will I even get a scholarship or work-study from the university even though I filled out everything before the deadline?
I'm really fed up at this point because I do everything on time and to have one thing mess up something really important really pisses me off
Thanks for your answers.
Update:FYI !!!! my FAFSA is completely filled out and I submitted it. For the university I'm attending they want us to send a return transcript and when we went to request one from the IRS they that's when they decided to tell us that it went into error and it needed to be re-processed. SO dont you tell me it's my responsibility to handle that. I handled what I needed to handle sir.
Good day!

Given that there was an error with your mother's taxes, you cannot be awarded until those corrections are made and you submit the correct information to your financial aid office. It's possible your financial aid package will change from what you had expected to receive before.
As for if you will lose out on financial aid, that I am not sure about. The best thing would be to see what your school can do to work with you to make sure you get financial aid, and to have your mother pressure to get the corrections done.
Had YOU actually filled out your FAFSA, then there would be no reason for anyone else have to complete your mom's tax info.
Waiting on others to do what you SHOULD have done is your problem.
