You should back-up any video files you have on your Flip and try "resetting" your Flip camcorder. Cisco recommends that you hold the Power button down for 10 seconds. If this doesn’t unfreeze your Mino, you can also perform a hard reset by using the Reset button in the camera tripod mount. This should fully reset the unit, and you can re-try normal operation. Cisco assures that resetting your Flip Mino like this WON'T affect any of your stored videos, but I always recommend a backup anyway.

I have the Flip Video Mino and it would be good enough to record videos at school with your friends, but the quality of the Flip Video Mino HD is even better, so if you are willing to pay the extra hundred dollars I would get that one. Try looking on amazon maybe you can get if for cheaper.

When i charge my flip mino hd, the screen shows the battery symbol, when i turn it on, it shows the flip symbol, but when it ready for filming or filming, the screen goes black. What is wrong and can i fix it?
