Frazier vs Marciano would be a three fight series. Frazier would stop Marciano on cuts in round 9 after a chest to chest war. There would be no knockdowns. The referee would stop the fight after Marciano's eye is cut beyond the point where he could continue.
Frazier by TKO in 11
Fight 2: The fight unfolds much like the first one. Frazier cuts Marciano's right eye with a sharp hook in round six. The referee looks at Rocky's eye and considers stopping the fight. He gives Rocky one more chance, which he makes good on. Rocky catches Joe coming in and slams a solid right to the side of the head. Frazier stumbles and Rocky finishes him with another right to the jaw.
Marciano by KO in 7
Fight 3: After two wars, a rubber match is unavoidable. Rocky picks his shots carefully while Frazier tries to grind him down on the inside, using his slightly greater strength and weight. The gash above Rocky's eye forces him to box more carefully. However, his caution costs him a few rounds...................and the fight.
Frazier W 15
Dempsey vs Marciano would be a two fight series.........Dempsey starts quickly, cutting Marciano's face in the first three rounds. However, Marciano comes off the ropes and flattens Dempsey with a solid right to the jaw in round 5.
Marciano by KO in 5
Fight 2: In the rematch, Dempsey changes nothing about his style. Marciano does. In the first fight, Rocky was caught several times and shaken to the ropes before stopping Dempsey. This time, Marciano gets lower, forcing Dempsey to step into the lion's den. This time, it's Marciano who backs up Dempsey. This fight is more fierce than the first one. Still, because of the way he's forced to fight, Dempsey runs out of gas first. He's not used to the phonebooth war that Marciano revels in. The referee steps in to stop the fight with Dempsey still on his feet.
Marciano by TKO in 8
Dempsey and Frazier would be a two-fight series..........Like the Marciano fight, Dempsey has never had to deal with a strong, crowding pressure fighter. No one applies more pressure than Joe Frazier. He leaves Dempsey no room to punch and wins most of the rounds until the referee steps in to stop it in 12. Don't assume that there MUST be a knockdown. That's not always the case with strong aggressive fighters.
Frazier by TKO in 12
Fight 2:...Dempsey is unable to change his style and Frazier sees no reason to do likewise. Dempsey sends Frazier to the canvas with a wrecking ball left-right combination in round 3. Frazier gets up and loses the next three rounds catching up. By round 6, Dempsey begins to slow down from the torrid pace while Frazier gets his second wind and begins to pick up steam. Frazier slams home a series of lefts to the head. That, along with the left hooks to the body, begins to slow Dempsey down.
In round 10, Dempsey is crowded into a corner and pounded to one knee. He rises and Frazier bulls him to the corner again, working on the body and head. Dempsey goes down again in the same corner. He rises but is in no shape to continue.
Smokin Joe Frazier of 1970 vs Rocky Marciano 1954, a terrific brawl as long as it lasted. Joe would come out smokin as usual bobbing and weaving, attempting to land his devastating left hook. Rocky would also be crouched attempting to get inside of Joe, to hit him about the arms and shoulders, to weaken Frazier's muscles. Marciano could bust up blood vessels with punches to arms and shoulders as in the Roland La Starza fight in 1953. He knocked out La Starza, as he could no longer lift his dead weight arms to protect himself. It would last until the 10th round with Rocky winning by KO10., with Rocky battered and bloody from cuts over both eyes. Rocky Marciano 1954 vs Jack Dempsey of 1920, would also turn into what might resemble a street fight. Dempsey storms out and knocks the Rock down in the opening round and again in the second round, but Rock survives and wins by Tko 11.
