I had to go to the doctor one time because I was having chest pains for a couple days. I went to the doctor and he said it was just heartburn but their computers do not have "heartburn" and they classify all cases as GERD even if its not truly that. I am wanting to join the army and I do not have GERD I only had heartburn. If the hospital lists it as GERD even thought it was not and the doc himself said it was not and GERD being a auto DQ will this ruin my chances?

A lot of people have some form of reflux. I suffered for years before I discovered it was a milk allergy. FYI if your reflux continues do get treatment because it can cause permanent damage leading to Barrett's esophagus and cancer. As far as the Army I would not mention it but once you are in let them treat you for it. Never volunteer anything you do not wish to become permanent record.
