I'm not sure about the strapping down part, but you will need to be intubated because your body is paralyzed during an operation, and you'll have an IV to give you fluids so you don't dehydrate, and to make administering drugs easier.
it depends, but usually yes, you are strapped down. you wont need a breathing tube unless you are under some serious meds, and yes, you will have an IV, thats how they get the fluids and the anesthesia stuff to your blood
