Genetics my babies eye color?
Just curious..My moms family all blue green eyes bc of her grandfather. She has brown eyes dark Brwn hair. My father has dark brn hair very light Brwn eyes. My husbands father has very blue eyes his mother has brown hair and Brown eyes.
I have brown sometimes hazel eyes, my husband has green hazel to light brown eyes.
What are my baby's eyes look alike?

In genetics it's really hard to give a correct answer, you can give a percentage but never a 100%. I took a biology class and here is what I can tell you. You are probably a carrier (for light colored eyes) and your husband could either be receding or dominant because he has green and sometimes brown colored eyes. Biologically speaking there are two possibilities. 1) Bb x Bb (this means that you are both carriers for light colored eyes and you have a 25% for your child to have light colored eyes). 2) Bb x bb (this is because your husband sometimes has green eyes and you have a 50% chance of having a child with light colored eyes) again it's hard to say the phenotype of the child but from what your saying and your family tree I would say your probably have a 50% chance of having a child with light colored eyes. It's hard to say since your eyes kind of change color. Sorry that this is so long bur I hope that I helped :)
Eye and hair colour are complex and can't be predicted, they could be anything practically.
Around 9 or 10 genes at least are involved and the changes within them small changes in DNA sequence cause differences. It is the interaction between all these different changes that causes the colour.
People who are doing research on this typically screen about 30 different DNA fragments - they cannot yet accurately predict the eye colour of the people have donated the DNA, so for the next generation it's impossible.
