well i heard were inquiring about Gareth barry and also xabi alonso i think we need a good defensive midfielder as flamini linking up with fabregas was 1 of the keys to success last season for arsenal

dunno about defensive midfielder role. barry is a good player, and arsene can make him better, but i don't know if he'll fit in. but then again arsene generally knows what he's doing so i have confidence in him. flamini was a bit of a blow but not bothered by gilbertos exit.

on a side note, i went to the emirates for the first time on tuesday for a tour. in one word...mecca!

I think Wenger is interested in both Gareth Barry & Xabi Alonso if you believe the press. I think Alonso is probably more Wengers type of player plus him and Fabregas would mix well. However I dont know if Liverpool would sell him to another Premiership club in the top 4.Then again Liverpool need some money so maybe they will?
