Say "Hey, I just wanted to say happy birthday!" Say stuff like, "What's up?" "My vacation is fun (or boring)" Stuff like that. Get her a nice perfume (like you said) or a candle or something.

call her personally, other than wishing her a happy birthday you can ask her what all she got for her birthday and what she has planned for the rest of the day and maybe ask her what she would like to do to celebrate when you get back. perfume is a good idea it you know what kinds she likes.

Get her a lil souviner(spelling?) from wherever you're at on your vacation. Include a sweet lil note, saying like "happy birthday! :)" it shows that you cared enough to remember and girls LOVE suprises! just don't get tooo cheesy and original or it won't really be much of a suprise haha.

and if you call her, just ask her how she is and what she's been up to. you know, the normal stuff.

and then maybe say, "so would you maybe wanna hang out some time?"

then go from there!

First of all, I would definitely suggest that you call her personally.

I've received e-cards, calls, texts, the works, but the telephone call is the most personal and it lets her know that you're taking time out of your day to talk and that you have her number and you thought about calling her.

Because it's her birthday, she probably won't have too much time to talk, the most will probably be 10 minutes or so, so you don't need to worry about topics running out. If you're close to her, then you could tell her that you miss her and if you have any "inside jokes" or, for example, say that you and her always chat at 2AM. Then you could say "I miss having someone to talk to in the early morning over here." And then go on and say "I was just calling you to tell you Happy Birthday, since I'm on vacation I can't tell you in person so I thought a phone call was the next best thing." Then ask her what presents she has gotten today or what her plans are for the rest of the day.

Then say "Oh cool, that sounds fun etc." then maybe mention how you're doing really briefly, like "the weather here is really nice, but i can't wait to get back home.. i get home on (date you get back), hope you're not busy that week, would it be okay for me to give you a call like the day after I get back? I have a gift for you and I want to see you"

And then just end it there if you've run out of stuff to say, and just be like "Oh I have to go, but I hope this is your best birthday yet, girls go crazy over sweet sixteen, have a really great day and I'll hopefully see you when I get back?"

If you're really super worried about running out of things to say or making a fool out of yourself, you could do something silly like printing out maybe what you want to ask her or maybe how you see the dialogue going, and then you have it in front of you in case you freak out. BUT, if you do this, then you don't want to "read" it off because we can tell if your dialogue is "scripted" so yeah just casually glace at it and change a few words here and there.

Oh and for a gift: Girls like guys who go after them, but at the same time they don't want something that will come easy to them. You could get her a perfume but they tend to be expensive, but if you can afford it easily then go for it. I would say that you get something that is special to the place you're at, because you could get perfume anywhere. Just make sure it's something she'll like, and then attach a Happy Birthday card on it.

you should deff call her atleast text her .. dont email her ! and if you call then say happy birthday and just make small conversation then at the end ssay by the way i got you a birthday present so when are you free? and then make a date.. but dont get her perfume. that sends a message saying i dont liek the way you smell get her jewelry or something. liek a locket with ur pic in it or something.

and as far as a present... hmm my favortie perfume is called "alien" byThierry Mugler it smells awesome. i recommend it. i thnk thats that best route you can go, a perfume. :]

I think you should definitely call her. You should have sent her a card, or you could still send her one, just blame the latness on the post office. If you likr her you should hang out with her. Ask her to go to the movies just as friends even. Get to know her better. =] good luck
