I have both situations...ex's that are friends and ex's that are not. Usually, it was the ex I was a friend with before the relationship that I remain friends with. It also depends on if the two people involved can "go there". If the breakup is really emotional and full of anger...more than likely you will be glad when the door hits his butt on the way out! If he is still in love with you...it more than likely will not end with friendship...he will be jealous of new boy friends etc. You get those rare few that understand and will stay friends...because the friendship is good enough and worth the extra work to keep...
You could be friends with your ex without it being weird. I think it really depends on how things came to an end, and whether or not boundaries if any need to be established.
There is a waiting period of 180 days before U should engage any lenghth conversations with your ex. On day 181 ...U can be friends without any conflicts if U 2 desire..... People need to move on...
You can. But it takes time. I was with a man for almost 4 years and after we broke up it took a good 2 years for us to reach a place where we could be true friends. It' can happen but don't expect to break up today and be busom buddies next week.
It depends on the guy. If you wanna be friends again but he dosn't than it's his fault not yours. If he asks you why you still wanna be friends just let him know how you feel. Try not to act weird around him and just have fun! Best of Luck!
Yes, you can. I know plenty of people who are still very close friends with their ex's. It pretty much depends on your relationship with the person. Most of the time, it should be fine.
i guess that depends on the type of guy he is and why you broke up. I personally am not friends with my recent ex of 6 years because of the type of person he was which is why I left....

I'm friends with a couple ex's. It might take some time before it's comfortable but it can work out.

I wouldn't go there! There could be a lot more involved than you think. Think of it this way..would you want your boyfriend to be friends with his ex?
