Going pararescue or cct from current enlistment contract?
I am currently in the air force but not pj or cct. Is it possible to get a chance to get one of those contracts and get out of my current one and if so how would i do it?
How much time do you have left on your contract? Do you have a career counselor? If so, I'd speak to him or get with a Special Tactics recruiter. Our community is undermanned so you shouldn't have a problem cross training unless your AFSE is also undermanned. Do yourself a favor and choose PJ or CCT now and start preparing yourself mentally and physically. If you're active duty I'd get with your career counselor or whatever they're called and start there. If he/she is an idiot then get ahold of a ST recruiter. I believe you can find them on the AF website these days. Good luck.
To the schmuck who thinks the AF is weak you better do some more research. Don't be ignorant.
nicely definitely after around 3 years you could stick to to pass practice you basically flow on your instruments retention NCO whether it is going to matter on the IN/OUT record and no count if 25N is overmanned , neutrally manned or under manned at your pay grade And an analogous for 68W actually in the experience that your mos is undermanned, your no longer gonna be allowed to retrain out of it, wanting reenlist time and consistent with danger no longer even then. And if 68W is over manned at your pay grade, you could neglect retraining into it, at any time.,

You can apply to retrain after 35 months on a 4 year enlistment or 54 months on a 6 year enlistment
At times in the past, they have waived that time requirement for pararescue or combat controllers
Where you only needed 24 months time in service to apply to retrain into one of those career fields.
2. Your Base career councilor is your best source of info on current regulations.
