Okay so about 3 days ago i bought 2 goldfish. When i got home i took them out of the bag and into a fresh, clean water bowl. I fed them at the same time. I noticed that one of the goldfish was eating the other didn't. The 2nd day, i looked at the bowl. One of the fish was swimming perfectly, the other one that didn't eat, stayed at the bottom. I poked at it to see if it was okay. it swam away but still didn't swim and stayed at the bottom. the 3rd day, i fed them again and one of my fish was eating, but again the same one still didn't. the next day, the fish that didn't eat or swam died. What did i do wrong? Was it my fault? Do you know what could have happened?

Your fish died of a combination of shock, stress, and poison water.
1. No fish belong in a bowl. For 2 Goldfish, you need a minimum of 30-gallons, (for Fancy Golds,) or 75-gallons, (Common/Feeder kind,) with filtration rated for at least double that.
2. You don't mention if you treated the water with a dechlorinator before adding the fish. Chlorine is highly toxic to fish, and it, along with chloramine, is found in all city/town water.
3. Fish need to be acclimated to the new water temperature and PH before they are put in it. This is done by floating them in the bag and slowly introducing the new water over a period of one hour.
4. Before the fish is brought home, the AQUARIUM needs to be cycled. This takes anywhere from a couple weeks to a month.

That's just a start to what's wrong with your current setup.
Your surviving fish will not be for much longer.
Your best bet is to return or re home him as soon as possible, and to thoroughly research the needs of any future fish before you bring them home.
Your fish died from bad husbandry. You can't keep fish in bowls. Three fancy goldfish need 40 gallons minimum of aerated, heavily filtered water. Commons need even more than that. Return your fish and the bowl. If you want fish, you need to know all about tank cycling and stocking. You won't even have fish in your tank for over a month. Please do your research first before getting any pet.
Was it your fault? Of course. This is the reason you should research an animal before you buy them.
Goldfish are massive waste producers and cannot be expected to live in a bowl; the ammonia would poison them, or they would suffocate. Lethal conditions would result in no time with two goldfish in such a small volume.
Not suicide. Fishies wont commit suicide. But it may have suffered some kind of shock that the other (perfectly healthy one) didn't. Maybe the bag got shook and he just happened to be alittle to close to the side or even back in the pet store when they were scooping the little guy out.
goldfish are usually very resilient and can last through all kinds of changes that would kill most tropical fish - like stress, temperature changes, ick (yes that's a disease that fish get) my guess is that you didn't do anything - it was probably sick when you brought it home
now - i have seen fish commit suicide - by jumpin out of a fish bowl - seen it happen twice - can't explain it!
