I asked a questions about the care of a bubble eye goldfish, and one answer said they should not be kept with orandas or black moors(The 2 types of goldfish I wanted to keep with him once I get him) But don't black moors have the buggy eyes that makes it hard to see, just like how bubble eyes have a hard time seeing, and dont orandas have the wen that makes it hard for them to see?
So, they all have asimilarr disability right?
Or should I choose other goldfish type to go with a bubble eye.
Btw, I will have the bubble eye in a 40 gallon tank and I want 2 other fancy goldfish with him, so would a black moor and an oranda be good, or some other type?
Another question:Since weather(Dojo) loaches are coldwater and get about the same size as goldfish, could I keep a few in there with the 3 goldfish? Ammonia will not be a problem in a cycled takn, so no need to tell me they produce to much ammonia, b/c won't the bacteria break it down?
Or, could I keep a few hong cong plecs in there?(Also know as hillstream loaches, they get 3.5 inchs and are coldwater.)
Just a thought, or should I stick to goldfish only?

No on the hillstream loaches. They require high oxygen levels, very clean water, and a good water flow. None of these wlll usually be found with gf's.
Dojos are very susceptible to ich, so if you decide to get them, that's something you would want to watch for carefully. Also, they can grow over 12" and up to 20"
Based on a couple sites I've checked, those 3 gf varieties should make ideal tankmates. You might also consider a lionhead for something different in the tank.
And for those who don't know, "cold water" in the pet fish trade is considered room temperature or below. Basically up to 70ºF/21ºC.*
Here's another excellent site with info on HSL's.

Ok, the person who told you you cannot keep bubble eyes with moors and orandas is wrong. They get along well because, like you say, they all have poor eye sight. They are also slow swimmers.
Dojo Loaches are a good tank mate. Some Plecos aren't a good idea though, they don't along well with goldfish, specially when they become adults. Some can be compatible such as the Rubber Nose and the Bristle Nose plecos.
I think should stick to goldfish. Here is a great site on how to care for them, there is a section about compatibility:

The only reason Bubble Eyes cant be kept with Moors and Orandas is food competition. Even Moors can see better than Bubble Eyes. But if your bubble eye is getting food, they will probably live together just fine.
I currently have bubble eyes with Lionheads, and they live together without problems. The bubble eyes can get plenty of food, and they don't fight. If you have an aggressive Oranda or Moor though, it could be a problem. Nippy fish are a bad idea if you have Bubble Eyes in with them.
Ideal tankmates for Bubble Eyes are other Bubble Eyes or Celestials. The website below has details on all the different goldfish breeds.
As for putting other fish in with goldfish, it is probably a bad idea. Water temperature isnt a big deal. Despite claims that goldfish are coldwater fish, they actually prefer warm water. They are referred to as coldwater fish because they can TOLERATE cold water, but they prefer water in the 72 to 85 degree range and can tolerate water up to 90 degrees. Warmer water will reduce the likelihood of illness as well.
But I have not had good experiences mixing other fish in with goldfish. Usually they either try to eat the other fish or get attacked by them. The only fish I have successfully kept with Goldfish long term are female bettas.
Plecos have two problems; First, they are notorious for feeding on the slime coats of goldfish, which almost always kills the goldfish eventually. Second, most of them have spines on their fins for defense, and when clumsy goldfish inevitably bump into them, they get speared by the Pleco when it tries to defend itself. I have seen this first hand several times with my own goldfish. As you can imagine, this is especially dangerous to fish with big protruding eyes (such as Moors) or gigantic liquid filled sacs (such as Bubble Eyes). So I would skip the Plecos.
Hi there. I've been keeping goldfish for a long time, and and have tried and tested loads of combinations of types. If I were you, I'd keep your Bubble Eyes and Celestials well away from Orandas and Fantails. Black moors are OK to keep with other fancies, but Bubble Eyes and Celestials need a little extra care.
They can be involved in fights OR mating, in which case their eye bags will pop or fall off (not too great eh?)
I would NEVER put dojos or plecs in with goldfish. They all tend to attack fancy goldfish and end up killing them (believe me.... I should know =)). Just keep your bubble eyes in a spacious tank with no hard plants, spiky objects or rough rocks, and you'll be fine!!
i think bubble eyes (celestials) would be fine with those other goldfish
as for the dojo loach i am not really familiar with them
but hong Kong plecos are more subtropical (18-23c) than coldwater and i doubt they would handle well with the goldfish.
have you considered a school of white clouds (live food when the goldfish get bigger LOL)
edit: sansa a hong kong pleco is not actually a pleco it is a non aggressive loach also known as a Chinese hillstream loach and a butterfly pleco.
edit2: there is also a real pleco called a butterfly pleco as well
The neighbor's freakin' face ought to have been like that of the stay goldfish tummy or the freakin' cat's tummy plus the glodfish. it quite is suggested as tit for tat. A catty respond to a catty pokey irresponsible neighbor!!!
you can keep black moor with bubbled eyed gold fish i have done it a couple of times myself
they will be fine
