I just got a new driver shaft. It tested at 286 cpm at 45 inches. How much will this change when I have a grip on it? And what will it play to, x or xx?
Don't think you've got a question that can be answered as there are just too many variables involved. The weight of the grip, shaft and club head all have a bearing on the frequency which is something you need not be concerned with unless you are trying to match another club in your set. The weight of the shaft is more important than the flex. 55gms. would be like an "R" 60 - 65 Firm and 70 - 75 gms X Stiff. The length too will effect how the shaft plays and feels the longer the whippier. Look at the weight of the shaft and do some thinking about how you would like it to feel. Good luck
