So tomorrow my boyfriend is coming over and i wanna make him breakfast for dinner. So far i've only cooked a bunch of asian, so this time i want like an all american southern meal. But the problem is, i can't think of what to cook! I know for a fact i'm making big cheesy omlets with fried bologna, and i'm considering french toast, but other than that i'm lost! I hate fixing bacon, so that's out. Anyone have any more ideas? And some cool recipes to try? Thanks guys! xoxo

ooh, I love breakfasts, its my favorite meal of the day. Some really simple and fun meals are omelets and pancakes. You can make the pancake batter the night before, as its always better when the batter sets over night in the refrigerator. And then chop the ingredients for the omelets also the night before. Then in the morning, you can set everything out and everyone can choose their own omelet ingredients or pancake toppings. You can have everyone make their own to see who has the best combinations. For omelets there are hundreds of fillings you can chop the night before like mushrooms, onions, ham, bacon, green peppers, different kinds of cheeses, spinach. Then in the am mix a dozen eggs in a large bowl, add a little milk and beat with a mixer till fluffy. For pancakes its easy to just use a bisquick box mix (its really good also). buy some whipped creme, fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, or fresh or canned peaches, maple syrup, (Warm up the syrup for special touch) chopped nuts or any other of your favorite toppings. Also if you have a blender, you can make breakfast smoothies. Just blend any kind of fresh fruit and yogurt. Or omit the yogurt and just use fresh fruit and juice. A easy baked dish is like a Breakfast Casserole. Just dice some onions, raw bacon or sausage, green peppers, potatoes and/ or mushrooms. Saute all together until brown. Whisk 6 eggs and a half cup of milk together and then mix everything in a baking dish and bake about 20 minutes on 325 (on low heat) Then sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake for 15 more minutes or until done all the way through.
Sounds like an artery-killer kind of breakfast! :) My favorite kind, actually. Here are some menu ideas:
Menu I
Mimosas
Cheese Omlets
Fried brown sugar bologna
Hash browns
Biscuits with honey butter
Menu II:
Chicken fried steak and gravy, scrambled eggs
Hot biscuits and gravy
Hash browns
Menu III:
Stuffed french toast with real maple syrup and powdered sugar
Fresh fruit with yogurt dip
Canadian bacon (you can actually do these in the oven)
Menu IV:
Bloody Mary's
Roasted red potatos with olive oil and rosemary, sprinkled with cheese
Brown sugar bologna, fried or broiled
Orange scones with Nutella
If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMgYV
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true
French toast can be great! Use actual french bread, and slice it 1/2 an inch thick at an angle. Add a tablespoon or two of orange juice to the egg mixture, and add grated orange zest to the maple syrup.
It sounds weird, but...
2 slices of bread
Nutella or other hazelnut spreads
Rice Crispies
1. Spread Nutella on both slices of bread
2. Sprinkle Rice Crispies onto the bread
3. Put the bslices together
4. Eat
I dunno if this is a all american breakfast, but I love mushroom risotto, its orginal and it is very filling, it is also prefect for a date because there is a fancy aroma to it. This site has a lot of great recipes and tips on making a killer meal check it out-->http://mushroomrisotto.org/
Just have some Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Milk and Orange juice.
The BEST breakfast food is biscuits w/ sausage gravy.
instead of sugary cereals, a leftover slice of pizza is better for u......stay healthy!
