The question as I understand it has very little to do with what the government actually does. It's more a question of what the government would do if controlled by either of those groups.

You have to look at what issues are important and how each group would handle it.

Who is going to look out for public interests? Or more appropriately, which group will serve the public interests, regardless of actual intent? Of course, that also means defining what is in the best interest of the public.

Or perhaps you don't care about the public, only yourself. Which group best serves your interests?

For example, maybe having a good economy and high standard of living is in the public (and/or your own) interest. On one hand, the wealthy may privately wish to make their businesses more profitable, bolstering the economy; but they may protect their profits and personal wealth by forcing workers to toil under slave-like conditions. On the other hand, the masses may want to spread the wealth, requiring higher wages or, perhaps, redistribution of private profits; but these measures will reduce profit margins and discourage business owners and investors, causing the economy to slump. Which is better? Or is there some other scenario?

Just decide what interests you think need to be served and weigh the pros and cons of how each group handles these interests; and in the end, you'll be able to say which is better and, most importantly, why.

Special interests control Americas power structure...our founding fathers tried to avoid this by giving the central gov limited power and leaving day to day control in the hands of the state...this (Called States Rights) ended with the Great War of Northern Aggression and started the great screwup of democratic vote buying that has led us to our welfare state of today....very important programs such as Midnight Basketball and like programs have tried to help remedy this but to no avail....if the Dems can get total control,nationalize the oil companies and gain access to those funds then maybe Midnight BAsketball will return and life as we know it will be safe

We now are seeing a government controlled by the rich. It really is depressing.

The Ultra Rich, like the Bush family, feel they are superior to us commoners, they do not care for us, only about more gold.

They care not for our world either. Wars for oil, to pollute our planet... for what? There have been cars since the 50's that burn clean... go to youtube.com and search "income tax law" and watch the associated videos for a real, and disturbing, look at the hidden agenda...
