Superman has superstrength, superspeed, near-invulnerability, and heat vision at the top list of his powers, but Green Lantern has what is described as the single most powerful weapon in the universe.
All things being otherwise equal, Green Lantern has only one chance to fend off Superman's initial rush at superspeed and that is to throw up an energy shield. That won't hold Superman back long, and the Lantern energy cannot penetrate Superman's skin, although a concussive energy blast can knock him off balance.
Hal Jordan is still only human, with human reflexes and speed, regardless of what the ring can do, and when Superman increases his speed to near Flash levels there is no way that Hal can anticipate every attack angle. The power of the ring can hold Superman off and batter him around quite a bit, but eventually he will get through, and all it will take is one punch to knock Hal out once Superman gets through Hal's energy defenses.
To address something someone else said, Lantern energy can create facsimiles of objects, but it cannot create actual things. The energy signature of those objects is still GL energy. A GL "kryptonite" construct would only exude GL energy, not kryptonite radiation, nor can it create red sun energy - the ring's power source is willpower, not solar.
When Hal Jordan "became" Parallax back in the 90's, he did so by being possessed by the Entity of Fear, Parallax. Hal's willpower allowed him some control over the entity, but it used his fear of failure to control and influence his actions and decisions. Parallax/Hal did have enough power to take Superman down, but the question was never brought up, as the Final Night storyline occurred where a Sun-Eater attacked our sun, causing Superman to rapidly depower. Hal died when he sacrificed himself to destroy the Sun-Eater, freeing himself from Parallax, but was later reincarnated as the Spectre, and then later returned to life and once more became the best of the Green Lantern Corps.
Definitely Superman, though the fight would be difficult.
Green Lantern, easily. His ring can create kryptonite, or blast him with radiation from a red sun. The only reason he hasn't is because, well, they're on the same side. Superman's "weakness" (other than his compassion) is that he has told everyone what his weaknesses are. Green Lantern's weakness is that he'd have to really, really want to put Supes down. When GL turned evil back in the '90s there wasn't a lot that could stop him.
Hahaha the answer is pretty much obvious, its Superman, you don't even have to ask to know Green lantern is nothing compared to him, and if anyones tells you another way well, I dont know what's the matter with that person.
