when i bought my xbox a year ago i went to my grandparents for the summer, where they had regular internet. so i thought it would be fun to try multiplayer on gta 4 cause i had that 30 days of xbox live gold that you get with every xbox.

but after my trial ran out i didn't pay for xbox live cause my parents are too cheap to upgrade from dial up at home, so i assumed it wouldn't work with dial up.

but then i saw a thing about using xbox live with dial up on youtube so i tried it but it was just sooo slow. i couldn't even download the update because it would stop downloading every time.

i upgraded it with a flash drive after downloading the update from a library computer, so now that that long *** download doesn't have to happen i was wondering if i could use gta 4 multiplayer on 21.6kbps internet. i realize how agonizingly slow that is but still.

i don't want to pay for a gold membership that i won't ever be able to use though.
