Guitar pickup comparison?
i want to switch out my emg 85 with an emg s paired with a fernandes sustainer or a sustainiac. the one thing i don't know is how the emg s sounds compared to the 85. could someone tell me the difference in tone between the two pickups.
Update:i plan on pairing the emg s with a single coil sustainer and put them both in the neck pick up cavity

If my memory serves me right, the ENG S is a single coil pickup and is the size of a single coil pickup. That would not be a direct fit into the larger humbucker sized cavity for the EMG 85.
