I am 21 and have been wrapping my hair in the same direction for about 9 or 10 years. I have very long hair, but one side always grows slightly longer than the other and Im always having to cut one side to make it even with the other. Is this because of way I am wrapping it??? If I changed directions would it help???
Also sence my hair is so long, its hard to hold a curl, it always ends up being straight, would changing directions tonight make me loose any hope of having curls tomorrow?

Sorry to tell ya but no....no matter how u wrap your hair, if it's already growing uneven, it will continue to grow uneven, My sister and I have long thick hair, no matter how we wrap it, no matter how much we try to rotate our head during our sleep (one side grows longer and thicker than the other, and we were told it's because we sleep mostly on the other side thats shorter and thinner), no matter how much we go in for trims, our hair grows uneven. My stylist says it's normal. It happens to some more than it happens to others.
Oh yeah, and every time I change the direction I wrap my hair, my head gets sore in a certain spot. Might happen to ya, might not. Never know until u try. Good Luck!
Very interesting. I think one side of the hair usually grows longer then the other. I actually have a spot smack in the center in the back, where my hair tends to grow the longest. So they always have to trim that one piece. My hair is also a little wavier in the center, and curlier everywhere else (only when wet though). I would try wrapping my hair in a different direction though, to see if you see a change in hair growth. I have also read that your hair is shorter on the side that you carry your handbag, or book bag, because you tend to break off the hair on that side of your shoulder. I have seen that ring true with my hair. The left side is longer then the right. You should try a different technique at night to get a curl, because it may fall flat if you wrap it the other way. That has happened to me before too! Try twisting your hair up in Bantu knots. Remember how Lauren Hill used to wear her hair? Do that at night. And take them out in the morning. Bantu knots always work for me. I have been doing this for years. You may have curls after that. I wish you luck:)
yeah, you should wrap it the other way. My hair is the same way... One side is much longer than the other and you can really notice because my hair is quite long. I keep a weave on mine cause I cant deal with the long hair. lol :) but if you wrap it the other way, It may have more bounce.... It really depends on the texture of your hair. www.blackhairmedia.com
Yeah, lol... Mine doesnt hold a curl either! I can hot curl my hair for 2 hours and it falls flat!
Yeah that has something to do with it but your hair naturally goes longer on one side then it does the other. However, changing the direction will help with that. I want to also suggest you wear rollers to sleep. I know you say your hair is really long but I suggest you get some mesh roller as big as they come or get the plastic rollers and alternate those and the wraps. I bet you will see improvement.
Her hair is prettier, because of the fact she trims off the chop up ends. what's she thinking of? Is she attempting to create a undertaking wherein her son would be rejected as a unusual ball by all the different childrens? i'm specific he's a superb youngster, yet childrens are so merciless.
