The international careers of Monty Panesar and Steve Harmison are at the crossroads after both were overlooked by the ECB for a central contract. Panesar is now rated behind Adil Rashid, who received an incremental contract for 2009-10, while Graeme Onions and Tim Bresnan were favoured ahead of Harmison on the 18-man list.
I think good decision by ECB.
what do u think?

Harmison should get the hint and take retirement from Int. cricket.
Panesar had a bad season. So England is experimenting at this stage.
If we see the test match peformances of these two bowlers, we will know that they are not in the top 4 ranks which should go to Swann, Onions, Anderson and Sidebottom. Then there are all rounders Flintoff (now retired) and Stuart Broad. Then the places for Panesar and Harmison. I don't think that they deserve their contracts.
In ODI, the performances in descending rank are - Flintoff, Stuart Broad, Sidebottom, Samit Patel, Swann, Harmison, Bresnan, Anderson and Panesar. I don't think either of them deserves a contract.
The ECB have finally made a right decision! And about time to! Harmless and Panasar are shite and deserve to lose their contracts.
Now, if only they would take Ian Ronald Bell's away too..........
they have cross road not end !
harmison might have end od career because he wasn't impressive during Ashes.
but monty still have real chance, perform at domestic level make your place back in team!
Yeah only 18 spots up for grabs not enough room for them I agree.
yeah both haven performed
i think both good
