I am being flown out of state for a job interview next week and received the itinerary today. It appears that for basically 7 hours straight, with just a 10 minute bathroom break on the hour, I will be interviewing with various panels. Two of the panels actually have 22 people on them, for a total of 57 people all day. Lunch and dinner will be served during the two large panels. Has anyone experienced an interview like this? To put it mildly, I am already intimidated and don't even know how to prepare for something like this. Can anyone offer any advice or tell me what to expect? Am I required to send thank you notes to all 57 afterwards? I really am freaked at this concept and have actually considered dropping out of the running because of the pressure. Anyone??????
Update:Mary - I agree with you. Its for a hospital administrative director position, and apparently, i need to meet with representatives from EVERY department currently within their healthcare system. I have been out of work now for about a year, as so many hospitals are restructuring their organizations and only want RNs and MDs as administrators. While I am excited they are considering me, I also don't want to move only to develop an ulcer within 6 months from the bureaucratic stress of it all. I really don't know what to do.

I had a panel interview once, but there were only 7 people in the room the entire day. It lasted around 4 hours, and then I was free to go. Even though there weren't 57 people, I felt like I had been interrogated on Capitol Hill by a bunch of Congess members. It was brutal.
I look at your interview this way. Do you really want to work for a company that needs the input of 57 people to hire you? I mean, come on! That's ridiculous. IT sounds like a bureaucratic nightmare of a company to work for.
Unless you are unemployed and desperate for a job, I would politely decline.
so why will have to we rent you, as a substitute of any individual else? What might you assert is your greatest weak point? Have you ever identified any person that was once stealing from paintings and what did you do approximately it? Is it ever okay to take anything out of your paintings? are you able to recollect an illustration in which any individual was once appearing badly, and traumatic you support them? How do you manage problematic humans? Can you inform me approximately a time you had been in a position to solve a situation for purchaser, and the way did you do it? Why do you wish to paintings for 'Acme Company'? Have you ever been fired? Expect them to be very worried with retailer safety, and in particular loss prevention, after which explian to them how you'll support them serve their buyers higher.
