I'm allergic to vinegar, and since vinegar is found in most mustards/catsup I have had a hard time finding them. Colman's English Mustard has no vinegar, but I want to know if it tastes good. Or does anyone know of any other mustard/catsup without vinegar?

Colman's English Mustard is very good and very hot. The way to make up the powdered form (much better than buying it ready-made) is to mix it with water only - if you try it with vinegar (which you won't!) it will be bitter. The addition of vinegar ensures it keeps its pungency. Once it's made up to your liking, you can then add other ingredients; I like to add a little honey for ham, etc, and it's also good added to mayonnaise. Mix in a little horseradish to serve with beef.
Your best bet, probably, would be to buy mustards in their powdered or grain form and make them up yourself. Other than that, look at the labels in the store.

Colman's comes in different varieties. Some have vinegar so be careful. The mustard that you may be talking about could be a paste. It would be like eating wasabi from a sushi restaurants. Colman's also makes powdered mustard, which is the bases for all mustard that you buy. Make sure that it is table mustard. You may be able to find a recipe on www.foodnetwork.com or some place like that for making your own with out vinegar, you could use a vinegar substitute like lemon juice.
I use it in powdered form & it adds so much to cooking...but I heve never seen it in 'mustard' form. I am not sure what they would mix it with...but, they do it well powdered, why not in liquid form! As long as it hasn't got any vinegar in it, try it & see.
Yes, yummy, gets some dried, add water. Great with a Ploughmans platter.
colmans english is quite hot compared to any american mustard.use sparingly!

I hate mustard. Mustard is sick any way that you try to eat it.
