I let my dog outside to go to the bathroomthis morning ad when she came back in (through the front door) she was covered in dirt and soaking wet on her right side and wasn't putting pressure on her left hind leg. My mom was freaking out thinking she got hit by a car so I gave her a bath and after the bath she started walking on the leg but I noticed tht when she walked the leg kind of stuck out a little and when she tried to run she wasn't putting full pressure on the leg. It also looks and feels like her leg is a little swollen. She's been laying on the ground licking the injured leg for awhile now and I'm a little worried because her gums are Loosing more and more color. My mom left for the gym and my dad isn't home. Idk what to do

She does need to see a vet.
Could she have been hit by a car ? Was she near a road.
This could be anything including dislocated hip if she is sticking the leg out to the side.
Please rest her completely until you can get to a vet. Keep an eye on those gums because if she is very injured then she could go into shock and that will become an emergency.
Add on - Babiegaga that is irresponsible to advise that she will be ok... you do not know this.
Because you said her gums are loosing color I think you need to get your dog to the vet soon. That is a sign of shock and she could have been hit by a car and have internal injuries as well as a broken leg. Call your mom at the gym and get her to come home and help you.
This is why dogs should not be allowed to run free. You may loose her and that is a high price to pay for not putting her on a leash and taking her outside yourself. That is what responsible dog owners do.You may be learning a hard lesson today.Good Luck to you and HER. She is probably scared and in pain .
It is irresponsible to let the dog roam. You don't treat an injury with a bath! That's two strikes against her already. If she's a small dog I'd suspect patellar luxation but increasingly pale gums doesn't fit a luxation. It's Saturday - get her to a vet while they are open, rather than winding up at the emergency clinic in the middle of the night.
Call your vet office and make an appointment. Get the dog in for a check up immediately.
I would not fool around with this if it were my dog. The dog should really be seen by a professional.
Lastly, when you have the dog go outside, do not let the dog go unattended, especially if you reside near a road or if the dog has access to a road.
Call you mother at the gym and tell her this dog need to go to a vet, sounds like she is having internal bleeding. If gums are getting pale she is bleeding some where.
And NEVER just open a door and let a dog out.
Sounds like she could go into shock. (pale gums are a sign). Find a friend or get a cab to the vet asap.
she definately won't be okay. wow. take her to the vet, use ice to bring down swelling
i would take her to the vet today regardless.
Probably, fix it
