Is loosening my bra straps the best way to eliminate irritation? I mean like they irritate me and slide too much so is loosening them the best way to get rid of that? Would it be more comfortable if they aren't hanging on as much?

You have to play with them to find what's comfy for you.
I prefer mine to be snug, they move less that way, won't fall off my shoulders when I'm moving around, and generally aren't irritating, hold the bra where I want it -- just overall, for me snug is best, not too loose or too tight.
You may also need to just get a diff bra altogether or get the kind that has removable straps, when you find straps that are comfy, switch them onto whichever bra you like. Most bras not will have removable straps, they're usually called 'convertible' bras, because the straps can be worn so many different ways, or just removed altogether. They're usually all pretty much the same size, so they can be put into any bra, they'll all be interchangeable =o)
If that's *still* not comfy, there's little gel pads you can buy that go under the strap, it helps the strap stay where you place it *and* is a cushion, so makes it not dig into your shoulders. Or, you could just skip everything else and just get these. They're sold virtually everywhere bras are sold. If they sell bras, they'll likely have these things, look for them, or ask the salespeople =o)
Hope this helps =o)
The straps would slide more if you loosen the. I bet you are wearing the wrong size. 80% of the support should come from the band, not the straps. You need to get fitted. Measure under you bust, add 4" (5" if it is an odd number) this is your band size. Now measure around the fullest part of your breast, the difference from under your bust and your bust gives you your cup size. example. if you are 32" under the bust and 34" around the bust, you need a 36 B.
1" difference=a
2"=b
3"=c
4"=d....
Your bra should mainly be held up by the band, not the straps. You should be able to drop the straps and still have the bra stay up. Sounds like you need to go down a band size, like from 36-34
Go for a professional bra fitting. Most department store lingerie departments now have bra fitters, or go to a specialist bra shop.
I have so many bra problems. Whoever said to go to VS. Ignore them. VS bras are NOT always comfortable and they are INSANELY priced.
Try wearing a bra without underwire and a loose sports bra over. It's soooo comfy and doesn't cut into you.
hi,are you sure you are wearing the correct size bra?
why don't you go and get fitted to be sure?it doesn't cost anything and the assistant will explain how it should fit and help you choose some new ones
i got mine fitted and was surprised to learn that i wasn't a 36dd as i thought but a 34f!no wonder mine were uncomfortable
