This morning I put an installation cd for my camera in to my Acer laptop's CD drive. It wasn't loading so I opened the drive and the disc was not there. I then tested to see if I had broken the drive by placing in another Cd, which worked. I turned the laptop and tried to see inside, but could not see the Cd... how can I get the cd out without removing the drive if i can at all.
PLEASE HELP ME.
This may sound stupid, but it's not a joke! :'(

Well, if the CD is stuck inside the drive, theres nothing you can do but take it to a registered technician to see if they can get the CD out. Otherwise, there's not much you can do.
However, in the mean time, you might consider going to the camera manufacturer's website, look for the software for your camera, and install it. Again, if the CD is stuck inside the drive, theres not much you can do with it, especially since its a laptop.
**EDIT: In regards to the post right below me, its POSSIBLE, but any attempts to disassemble the drive to repair it will immediately damage the drive, and make it unusable. I strongly recommend you try and find a downloadable version of the software you're installing.**
Theoretically impossible.
The issue is not you, it is you
