the perimeter of a rectangle is 12 units. let x represent the measure of one side of the rectangle and y represent the area
write an equation of the rectangle in terms of x

Since Area = y and one side = x, then other side is y/x
Perimeter = 2(L + W)
12 = 2(x + y/x)
